Armine Matentsian is an energetic and innovative leader and team member, who can anticipate and drive change. She is an advocate of result-driven actions and continuous improvements; a change agent with strong interpersonal and collaborative skills with an analytical background and creative problem-solving skills. She has over 25 years of experience in both the corporate world; Synopsys, IBM, Smith Barney, and an entrepreneur as Change Agent helping her customers and clients re-align their strategy and execution both in business and personal lives. Her motto is “When there is a will, there is a way” and “The only thing constant is CHANGE”.
Armine is a Program Manager at Synopsys Corporation working with the executive management team to re-engineer and deploy current processes to accommodate ever changing complex and fast-paced environments of software development and release management processes.
Previously Armine worked for IBM Corporation for 16 years with several career changes within IBM. The positions she held include; World Wide Channel Strategy Manager, Marketing Communications Campaign Manager, Market Driven Quality (MDQ) Program Manager, System Strategy Planner, Product/Component Engineer.
With her full schedule, Armine always finds time to give back to her community through non-profit organizations, promoting her beliefs in women’s causes – education and well-being; both physical and mental. She is on the executive board of NAMI Tri-Valley (National Alliance of Mental Illness Tri-Valley chapter). Armine has worked very closely with San José State University faculty and students promoting continuous technical and cultural partnerships and mentorship between the corporate world and academia.
Armine is Stanford University Certified Project Manager. She received MBA in Marketing from Pace University of NY and a BS in Electrical Engineering from NYU University. She is also a lifetime member of World Future Society and a Distinguished Toastmaster with Toastmasters International.
